Core Training Package

This discounted package for beginners includes the essential training curriculum to get a motorcycle license. This allows a person who has never ridden a motorcycle or scooter to learn the skills necessary to successfully pass the licensing course. Motorcycles are provided for all courses.
This package includes 2 courses that must be taken in sequential order: Motorcycle 101, and the MSF Basic RiderCourse.

Course 1: Motorcycle 101

This 2-hour hands-on introductory course covers the basics of motorcycle operation from what type of protective gear to wear to straight-line riding. Motorcycles are provided and students will be riding!

Review the protective clothing and equipment to wear while on a motorcycle.
Learn how to locate and use each of the key motorcycle controls.
Demonstrate basic motorcycle operation and finish with straight-line riding.
There is no driver’s license or motorcycle permit requirement
Tuition is $110 for NYC locations and Western NY/Hudson Valley
There is up to 6 students in a course.

Requirements:

Must be able to ride a bicycle
Must wear Proper Riding Gear
Junior Operator Class DJ: A notarized Parental Waiver must be submitted to info@ridemss.com 10 days in advance and presented on the course start date

Course 2: MSF Basic RiderCourse

Get trained, get licensed. The FAST TRACK to motorcycle licensing!

This 2-day licensing course helps students learn skills such as straight-line riding, shifting, turning, swerving and stopping (including making quick stops). Motorcycles are provided. Upon successful completion students will be given a Course Completion Card, to present to the DMV to get the license!(*must present a car license)

Course Highlights:

"ePackage 1" eCourse-5hr: is a free, 5 hour mandatory online eCourse that must be completed at home within 30 days of your course start date. The eCourse access directions are included in the registration email.
Training Hours: 10 hours of training on our practice range at a MSS location!
Course Completion Card can be redeemed at the New York State DMV for the motorcycle license! Students must successfully pass the skills exam. If the skills test is failed on the first try, 1 free retest is allowed.
Tuition is $398 for NYC locations and $321 for Western NY/Hudson Valley

Requirements:

A Valid State-Issued Photo ID:
Driver's License (Class A, B, C, D, DJ, or E), Driver's Permit, Motorcycle Permit, or NYS Non-Driver Identification Card (NDID) only
Note: Out-of-state and New York City non-driver ID cards are not acceptable. Out-of-state IDs must be a valid Driver’s License or Permit
A completed "ePackage 1" eCourse-5hr which is only valid for 30 days prior to the course date
Must be able to Ride a Bicycle
Must wear Proper Riding Gear
