DMV Road Test Only – Student Provides Motorcycle

This package offers a road test service for experienced riders taking the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Road Test! Motorcycle Safety School will schedule your road test at either the Red Hook (Brooklyn) or Yonkers (Westchester) DMV location.

The Road Test includes left and right circles and figure-eights on public streets. In addition to normal driving maneuvers, you must be able to accomplish these while being alert for other traffic.

This package includes:

• Scheduling the DMV motorcycle road test
• A car for the road test (required by DMV)
• An M-licensed DMV-certified instructor who will serve as the accompanying driver

Note: The Road Test dates are uploaded weekly by the DMV schedule office. The road test date listed is only an estimated date – once we have registered a confirmed appointment, you will be notified and can decide to keep the date or reschedule for another one.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older Recommend to have at least 30 hours of practice on a motorcycle and at least 10 hours of practice in medium to high-volume traffic. Must wear Proper Riding Gear A valid New York State photo Motorcycle Permit A valid New York State Driver’s License or 5-hour Pre-Licensing Certificate A properly operating, registered, and inspected motorcycle. Proof of Motorcycle insurance is also required.
